The National Investigation Agency (NIA) denied the news from the media that his raid near the Dalai Lama House in McLeodganj, Himachal Pradesh, was associated with the security of the spiritual leader or the Khalistan terrorist financing.
Operation 4th July instead focused on the circle of trading in people called “Us Oslavská route”, a term that recorded the main popularization of the popular Bollywood film “Dunki” played by Shah Rukh Khan, and had a story about a dangerous journey of illegal immigrants.
The local police accompanied the investigator during the search. False stories spread because the raid became 90’s birthday.
Nia called these reports “completely false” and confirmed that the operation focused only on traders with people who desperately use America.
Victims charged 45 Lakhs for a dangerous US journey
“Celebrating the route” is a brutal smuggling net that charges the victims up to 45 Lakhs inr ($ 54,000) for false American visas. Traders like Gagandeep Singh forced migrants to be dangerous across Spain, Guatemala and Mexico and often left them.
During Friday’s air raids, NIA arrested two key suspects: Sunny “Sunny Donker” from Dharamshaly and Sandhal of Delhi. They both worked for Singh, who had sent over 100 people illegally to the US before his arrest.
Sunny operated a communication center near the Dalai Lama Palace and increased the initial suspicions about his sudden wealth and a strange wife.
Traders used shocking cruelty to profit. Sunny organized migrant trips while Sandhal moved money with illegal * Hawala * channels for Latin American manipulation. During the journey, migrants faced beating, blackmail and starvation.
One victim deported from the US exhibited a network after filing a police complaint. The initial confusion arose because the McLeodganj police were not informed of the raid.
The officer called it a “security problem at a high level”, while another incorrectly associated it with Khalistan financing. Nia explained that all the protocols followed and worked with local authorities during the search.
NIA extends its interventions against trading people. Gagandeep Singh was charged with June 27 and is expected to be further arrests. Agents confiscated phones, hard drives and financial records to follow the global gang connection.
The agency warned the media against the spread of unverified demands, emphasizing the case includes only people trading, not terrorism. Meanwhile, McLeodganj residents expressed relief that the air raid was not associated with the Dalai Lama safety during his birthday actions.
NIA continues to monitor funds and routes to dismantle the entire “donkey route” operation and threaten Indian lives.
