
The Revanth Reddy-led Telangana government plans to rename various streets in the state following the latest proposal to name the upcoming greenfield radial road in the proposed RRR as a tribute to late industrialist Ratan Tata.
Another proposal suggested rechristening the high profile road along the United States Consulate General in Hyderabad as “Donald Trump Avenue”. Recently, the government decided to name the upcoming greenfield radial at the proposed RRR as a tribute to the late industrialist Ratan Tata.
In addition, the government proposed to recognize the global impact and contribution of Google and Google Maps by naming a prominent stretch “Google Street”. The proposal was announced by the CM earlier this year while addressing the annual conclave of the US-India Strategic Partnership Forum (USISPF) in Delhi.

CM Revanth Reddy wants to rechristen streets after world leaders and leading global corporations as a step to position the state as a hub for innovation-driven development and recognition of their contribution. In honor of eminent individuals and corporations, the state government is considering dedicating more roads.
A press release said, “This recognition will be given to the path along Google’s upcoming campus, to be the largest outside the US, in Hyderabad’s financial district.”
Additionally, Microsoft and Wipro are expected to find a place and recognition in Hyderabad’s topography. With eyes on Wipro Junction and Microsoft Road, the government wants to move forward with this renaming.
The report said, “Microsoft and Wipro are also expected to get recognition in the topography of the city, with Wipro Junction and Microsoft Road, in line with the Chief Minister’s vision.”
Telangana Rising Global Summit begins today
The Telangana Rising Global Summit, organized by the state government, is being held at ‘Bharat Future City. More than 42 countries, including 2,500 participants, will participate in the two-day event scheduled for December 8 and 9.
According to an official press release, speakers at the inauguration ceremony will include Nobel laureates Abhijit Banerjee and Kailash Satyarthi, Trump Media and Technology Group CEO Eric Swider and Biocon CEO Kiran Mazumdar-Shaw. During the summit, the state government will present its Telangana Rising 2047 vision document.
Telangana’s Vision for Transformational Growth will be unveiled, outlining a plan to achieve a USD 1 trillion economy by 2034 and a USD 3 trillion economy by 2047, PTI reported. Governor Jishnu Dev Varma will inaugurate the event at 1:00 PM.
