A 3.5 -year -old girl who suffered serious injuries after a stray dog attack in Neendur near North Paravur in Ernacula on Sunday, recovering to re -attach the cut part of the ear.
The girl who played with her sister and cousin was attacked on Sunday evening by a stray dog. According to eyewitnesses, the dog knocked the girl and bit a part of the ear. She was rushed to the nearby government hospital, where she was shot by anti-rakes. From there she was moved to the Government Faculty of Medicine in Kalamassery and then to another private hospital.
“Doctors referred us here to another private hospital because they could not perform surgery to reconnect part of the ear,” a child’s friend told the child’s father. At night she was moved to a private hospital in the city, where she will currently undergo treatment.
The operation that re -attached the cut part of the ear was performed early in the morning on Monday. A child held under observation was moved to the ward.
The child was attacked near her father and his friends who played in the ground next to Ramanculangar temple in Neendur. “But none of us could intervene in time to save it. The dog threw himself and bit into his ear. Part of the ear was bitten,” the child’s relative of the child’s father said.
When they talked to reporters, the people of the Neendoor area claimed that, despite their frequent complaints about street dogs, no steps were taken.
