DMK holds meeting to mobilize ‘Gen Z’

Recognizing the need to mobilize and politicize Generation Z, the DMK organized a meet called ‘Gen Z DMK’ on Saturday. Excited by the turnout of young people, party leader MK Stalin declared that “the future holds many hopes”. “The energy level is increasing even when we are in opposition. This is DMK,” he said in a post on social media with signatures of the participants.

Former minister TRB Raaja said no one can dare to write off DMK.

Senior advocate and DMK legal wing secretary NR Elango said the youths powerfully explained the ideals of Dravidism in a language that was new to the party leaders. “But we will soon understand,” he said.

Referring to discussions of local body elections to be held in the state, he said that Tamil Nadu may even witness another assembly poll. “Government is not functioning according to law and constitution. Kalaignar (M. Karunanidhi) showed the world how to run a minority government. But the present rulers do not want to learn from this example.” He advised the youth to use soft language and not lower themselves to the level of their opponents.
