Director General Physics Wallah Alakh Pandey supports CJP’s protest and urges Center to ‘listen to students’ | Today’s news
Co-founder and CEO of Physics Wallah Alakh Pandey has extended support to the students protesting at Delhi’s Jantar Mantar over the alleged NEET-UG 2026 paper leak and urged the Center to engage with them and listen to their demands.
In a video shared by the protest site, Pandey said the agitation reflected students’ anger against the country’s education system and was not “just about NEET”.
“On July 20, Indian students staged a historic protest. It was students’ anger against the entire education system. It was not just about NEET,” he said.
Protest led by CJP against NEET irregularities
The Cockroach Janta Party (CJP), which is leading the protest, is demanding the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan and action over alleged examination irregularities.
The protest escalated on 20 July after police action against protesters at Jantar Mantar left several protesters injured.
Pandey condemned the alleged attack on peaceful protesters and urged the government to initiate dialogue.
“Why is the government not talking to these children? They are the children of our own country. Please come and talk to them once. At least listen to their problems. It is out of helplessness that they have come to the streets,” he said.
Support after criticism of CJP
The video comes two days after the CJP publicly criticized Pandey for not supporting the student movement.
In a post on X, the organization called on students to boycott teachers who it says have remained silent on the issue.
Pandey also said that the concerns raised by the protesters went beyond NEET and included examinations, recruitment and the wider education system.
“It’s not just about NEET – it’s about IIT, CBSE, SSC, education and recruitment. They are your own children. Please support them,” he said.
He also announced that Physics Wallah will provide complete educational support to the children of the families of the students who allegedly committed suicide in connection with the NEET paper leak controversy.
