Former BJP President in West Bengal Dilip Ghosh on Thursday (May 1, 2025), who refused to connect to TMC, said he went to the newly built Jagannath temple in Digha on the day of his consecration because he was officially invited by the government and his party did not turn him to visit him.
Mr. Ghosh, along with his newly married wife, Rinka Majumdar, visited the temple built by the TMC government, on Wednesday and met the main Minister Mista Banerjee and caused speculation that he could jump before the election to the assembly of 2026.
“Our party did not ask us to skip the invitation. I was invited, so I came here. I have the courage to do so,” Mr. Ghosh told reporters in the morning with his wife on Digha Sea.
“Why do people go to the Ram Temple in Ayodhya and the Kashi Viswanath Temple? Even Mamata Banerjee asked their leaders to go to Kumbh, but there were many who went there because they knew God was, that it was, it The fact that it is, that it is, who is, that it is who is who is.
Asked about speculating connection to TMC, Mr. Ghosh shot, “Why should I?”
“I don’t have a bad time. I haven’t changed over the past 10 years, I haven’t changed my party like many others who switch the parties whenever the elections occur. Dilip Ghosh doesn’t have to change the parties,” he said.
Visiting Mr. Ghosh in the temple and subsequent meetings with Mrs. Banerjee, part of which was lived live on Facebook, picked up several eyebrows, while BJP leaders did not hide their anxiety.
Sharing a photo of the meeting between Mr. Ghosh and Mrs. Banerjee, head of the leader BJP Swapan Dasgupt, said in the post X: “Burning between local BJP workers in this obvious betrayal by the former state president is too questioning for national leadership.”
Mr. Ghosh, a former KharaGpur deputy, has not been critically resolved.
“People still talk about Dilip Ghosh. Even though they speak negatively, it works like an ad for me,” he said.
State President BJP Sukanta Majumdar said that the party does not approve of the visit.
“It’s the Ghosh’s personal choice.
Asked about the visit, the leader of the opposition of Suenda Adhikari said: “I don’t want to talk about him.”
