The Delhi Crime Branch on Saturday filed two separate FIRs against Al-Falah University, which is under the scanner after the Delhi blast.
The university is located at Dhauj in Faridabad district of Haryana near Delhi.
FIRs were filed for cheating and forgery over the university’s alleged false claims about accreditation.
The FIRs were registered following actions initiated by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC).
During the inspections, both institutions drew attention to serious irregularities at the university.
“Today, a team from the Delhi Crime Branch visited the office of Al Falah University in Okhla. The Delhi Police issued a notice to the university and demanded certain documents from them,” ANI reported, citing the Delhi Police.
