The Delhi Group Center of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) on Friday (November 7, 2025) celebrated the 150th anniversary of the national song Vande Mataram.
“The event was organized to enhance the spirit of national pride and unity. The program was presided over by Vinay Kumar Singh, Deputy Inspector General, Group Centre, CRPF, New Delhi. Commandant Vijay Kumar Verma, other senior officers, subordinate officers, staff and teachers along with students of Kendriya Vidyalaya, release Kalajan Jarod, CRPF were present on the occasion.
The ceremony began with the singing of the national anthem and a salute in front of the statue of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel installed in the group centre. Those present, including officers, staff, faculty and students, were informed about its cultural and historical value.
In his speech, Mr. Singh said that Vande Mataram inspires devotion, sacrifice and unity among all Indians. He stressed the importance of instilling in students a strong sense of patriotism and devotion to the nation.
