The Communist Party of India (CPI) has asked the Chief Ministers of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana to take immediate steps to reconstruct the Peddavagu project, which has remained extinct since the 2024 flood.
CPI State Secretary G. Eswaraiah on Wednesday (April 22, 2026) wrote to Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and his Telangana counterpart A. Revanth Reddy that the irrigation structure, located near Gummadavalli in Aswaraopeta mandal of Bhadradri Kothagudem district, is in urgent need.
