Congress workers on Wednesday celebrated the swearing-in of DK Shivakumar as the Chief Minister of Karnataka and his cabinet colleagues across Dakshina Kannada and Udupi districts.

Mr. Shivakumar’s supporters and Congress workers burst crackers and shouted slogans even as the swearing-in ceremony was telecast live at Kinnimulki in Udupi. They distributed sweets to the public and took out a party flag parade in the city.

Meanwhile, in Kadri, Mangaluru, party workers celebrated the occasion by bursting crackers outside the district Congress office and distributing sweets to the people of the locality.
