On the last day of filing nominations for the Jubilee Assembly constituency, Congress candidate V Naveen Yadav and BJP candidate Lankala Deepak Reddy filed their papers amid a show of strength on Tuesday.
Telangana BJP president N. Ramchander Rao on Tuesday said at a nomination rally for BJP candidate Lankala Deepak Reddy that the main contest in the Jubilee Hills Assembly elections is between BJP and AIMIM. He alleged that the Congress had lost the trust of the people and that the party was pretending to be in the electoral fray by fielding a candidate on the AIMIM ticket who had contested the elections earlier. Mr. Rao said the party had made big promises for the development of Hyderabad but failed to fulfill its six guarantees and 420 election promises. He accused the party of trying to mislead Jubilee Hills voters with “false election propaganda”.

Mr. Yadav, accompanied by four Congress leaders, submitted his documents. The competition attracted a wide range of candidates – from major political parties to independents, including farmers affected by the Regional Circle (RRR) project and leaders representing local unemployed associations.
TPCC appeals to Kodandaram
Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) president B. Mahesh Kumar Goud on Tuesday wrote a letter to Telangana Jana Samithi (TJS) president M. Kodandaram seeking his party’s support for the Congress in the Jubilee Hills Assembly elections scheduled for November 11.
In the letter, the TPCC chief asked Mr. Kodandaram to show solidarity with Congress candidate Naveen Yadav and contribute to his victory.
Mahesh Kumar Goud said it was time to analyze the public response to the 22-month Congress rule in Telangana, adding that all sections of the society were satisfied under the people’s rule led by the party. Emphasizing that the Congress has restored faith in democratic governance, he appealed to Mr. Kodandaram to join hands in ensuring the party’s success in the by-elections.
Mr. Mahesh Kumar Goud made a scathing attack on BRS working president KT Rama Rao and accused his family of widespread corruption. Condemning Mr Rama Rao’s remarks describing the AICC as an “All India Committee of Corruption”, he said Mr Rama Rao should first clear his own family’s record before making allegations against others.
