The District Collector of VR Vinod ordered the demolition of 30 school buildings that are in uncertain state. The demolition was ordered according to the Act on Catastrophery on the basis of a report by Deputy Director of Education (DDE).
Mr. Vinod here on Saturday (July 26) said a meeting of the District Development Committee (DDC) that he soon organizes a discussion with officials of the DDE and public works department.
The buildings must be demolished within a month after the evaluation process is completed.

Mr. Ibrahim submitted a resolution against the alleged departure of the funds of the Calicut International AirPorate Environmental (CER) for purposes other than alleviating local environmental issues. A good piece of CER Airport Funds was diverted to a village for seniors of citizens in DharmADom, the main district of Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan.
Mr. Ubaidulluh assigned a resolution. The collector assured that he was dealing with the matter with the Indian airport office.
The district physician R. Renuka said that infectious diseases were growing in the district, including Dengue. However, the strengthened preventive measures could check mortality, she said.
Mr. Vinod said that Caters would recommend to interrupt the administration of ice welcome drinks at events to prevent the spread of jaundice.
Mr. Hameed said that the district should have medical facilities proportional to its population. He pointed out that due to the lack of adequate facilities in the Government Medical College Hospital, Manjeri, patients were transferred to the Medical College Hospital in Kozhikode.
KSEB will organize a meeting on July 29 in the framework of efforts to reduce accidents related to power in the district. KSEB officials will also carry out inspectors to ensure that security measures are introduced, especially in school.
