Cochin Port Authority (Copa) looks at the use of global investment opportunities in the upcoming Indian naval week (IMW) 2025 by demonstrating its growth plans for a mega event that will take place from 27 to 31 October in Mumbai.
As an initial step, Copa introduced an expansion plan at the meeting of the stakeholders in the naval industry held on Tuesday on Willingdon Island.
A key part of the presentation was the ambitious Copa plan for the development of the mega cruise terminal, said the Copa official. A detailed report on the project on the proposed terminal is being prepared. The plan includes proposals to expand the capacity of Ernakulam and Mattacherry Wharves and the establishment of other firefighting facilities for liquid costs. “We will have the opportunity to introduce our projects in IMW and network with global players in the field. Presentations and interactions should help if we invite offers for new projects,” the port clerk said.
Chairman Copa B. Kasiviswanathan and transport manager Himanshu Shekhar spoke. IMW 2025 is organized by the Ministry of Port, Transport and Waterways.
