Minister of State for Home Bandi Sanjay Kumar found fault with Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy’s recent remarks against former Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao that the language used was inappropriate and unfit for the office he holds.
Interacting with the media at the BJP state office on Thursday, Mr. Sanjay stressed that the Chief Minister must maintain dignity and restraint in public speech and urged him to refrain from using such expressions in future.
responsible KCR
He held KCR responsible for the injustice to Telangana in the allocation of Krishna river water and claimed that it was KCR who agreed to take 299 TMC out of 575 TMC. He said this was stated by the then Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy in the Apex Committee meeting and stated that the BJP was ready to make the agreements public if needed.
Referring to the Kaleshwaram project, Sanjay asked why the investigation was limited to ₹9,000 crore when the alleged fraud reached ₹1,00,000. He also criticized the handling of the phone tapping case, alleging that over 6,000 phones were tapped during the BRS regime and alleging the involvement of the KCR family.
On civic politics, he dismissed the Congress’s claims of recent by-election victories and argued that the absence of party symbols in the Panchayat polls made the attribution of results misleading. He claimed that BJP’s vote share and number of seats have increased significantly, especially in the Karimnagar parliamentary constituency.
In the GHMC elections, Bandi Sanjay said that the BJP will contest independently and is confident of winning the mayor’s post. He accused the Congress of planning an alliance with the MIM and alleged that the BJP’s aim was to make Hyderabad “MIM-free”.
