Police District branch of Cuddalore District Crime Police on Wednesday arrested a 37 -year -old man from Chennai for alleged disturbance of many after receiving money under the pretext of organizing jobs in government facilities.
The police said the complainant Ramacandiran, 65 of Panruti, recognized the accused through the mutual known in Cuddalore. The accused identified as Aruunkanthan of Chennai claimed that he knew that several officers working in government facilities, including Chennai Corporation, and if they paid money, could get employment in different facilities.
The accused attracted the complainant to the promise to get a job for his son in Chennai Corporation and received 11 lakh in multiple installments. But he did not even receive money.
Based on the complaint of Ramacandiran, DCB required an investigation.
The investigation revealed that Aruunkanthan cheated on a few trusted people about the promise of work in the government and received several lakhs from them. Was arrested and converted into custody.
