
Delhi recorded the highest amount of rain ever recorded in May, with 186.4 mm of precipitation recorded until 25 May this year. This new record was set after the city received 81.4 mm rain early on Sunday. This violates an old record of 165 mm in May 2008. The storm hit May 25 between 1:15 and 2:30, with wind speeds of up to 100 km/h. It caused extensive contamination and disrupted traffic across many parts of the city. Numerous roads and underpasses were flooded during the early morning hours and more than 49 flights were delayed or affected due to bad weather.

IMD predicted a storm with rain on Saturday and Sunday, with a maximum temperature expected to settle around 37 degrees Celsius.
It is assumed that the temperatures in the Delhi gradually increase and reach the peak of 40 degrees Celsius 26. May and 28 May. Night temperatures are also expected to increase constantly – from 21st to the end of the week from 21 degrees Celsius.
