
A high-level interaction between leading UK school groups and senior state government officials took place here on Friday under the auspices of the UK High Commission.
The meeting was attended by key government officials and representatives of the UK’s renowned school leadership, including CEOs and heads of business partnerships, who learned about and appreciated the state’s new initiatives in the school education system.
Director of School Education E. Naveen Nicolas presented an overview of the procedures for granting permission for schools and obtaining unreserved certificates for CBSE, ICSE, IB and Cambridge affiliations. While Additional Director K. Lingaiah demonstrated the state’s online portal for efficient and transparent approvals, GHMC Commissioner (Cyberabad) G. Srijana highlighted building safety standards and uniform compliance mechanisms for schools.
In the meeting, Future City Development Authority Commissioner K. Shashanka shared the vision of Bharat Future City, highlighting thematic clusters and Young India Sports University, and encouraged UK institutions to set up their campuses. Mr. Shashanka said Telangana was committed to a transparent, investor-friendly ecosystem and top-notch educational infrastructure in line with ‘Vision 2047’.
