According to Singh, the driver launched a ride at 7:30, ended it in several steps and demanded fare £300. When her parents protested, the driver reportedly behaved with his mother, refused to move by car until they paid, and was reportedly intoxicated.
Accusations in a viral post
In her post, Singh claimed: The driver falsely claimed that instead of picking up was incorrect and ended the trip to 10 meters, charged £300.

Singh wrote that the driver “conjured alcohol” and created a public inconvenience.

Her father, a former army officer and mother, an officer of the central retirement government, were “harassed and humiliated”.
Despite turning Uber’s 24/7 line help more than 50 times, Singh said she got only “unnecessary IVR”.
Finally, she had to call 112 (police in Delhi) and report details of the driver and vehicle.
Singh stressed that it is not money, but women’s safety, respect for seniors and responsibility for Uber support.
Her contribution, which became a viral on LinkedIn, directly described Prabhjeet Singh, President of Uber India and South Asia, and asked whether such harassment and intoxicated proceedings reflect Uber’s standard operating model.

Security concerns will appear
This incident ruled concerns about the security of personal persons in a prosperous driving industry. Several users in the comment section reflected similar experience and demanded stricter regulations, driver responsibility and stronger customer support support mechanisms.

Meanwhile, Singh also called on the traffic police in Delhi to take strict measures against drivers for poor behavior with older citizens, management under the influence and creation of public inconvenience.
