BJP president Nitin Nabin’s birthday: Melody chocolates distributed among visually impaired children in Patna

After Prime Minister Narendra Modi recently gifted a packet of Melody chocolates to his Italian counterpart Giorgia Meloni, the chocolates were distributed to visually impaired children of a school in Patna on Saturday (May 23, 2026) on the occasion of BJP president Nitin Nabin’s birthday.
Mr. Nabin hails from Patna and his birthday was celebrated in a simple manner by party leaders and workers on Saturday, May 23.
Mr Nabin, 46, was also a five-time MLA from the state capital Bankipur Patna assembly constituency and a former state minister. Recently, after being nominated as the national president of the BJP in January 2026, he was sworn in as a member of the Rajya Sabha on 16 April 2026, vacating his legislative seat. He was present in Patna on 23 May 2026.
Some people claiming to be BJP workers distributed melodious chocolates among the visually challenged children of Rajkiya Netraheen Uchh Vidyalya located in Kadam Kuan area of Patna and said that “by distributing chocolates among the children in the school, our party president Nitin Nabinji’s birthday was celebrated with great fanfare”.
In a video that went viral on social media, one of them was wearing a saffron robe and had a long saffron scarf on his shoulder while distributing chocolates among visually impaired children and the other was holding a cutout of BJP president Nitin Nabin.
Mr Nabin was in Patna on Saturday (May 23, 2026) and welcomed several party leaders to his residence who came to wish him on his 46th birthday. “It was celebrated without any pomp and show…few party leaders came with cakes…that’s it,” said a person handling media persons at Mr Nabin’s residence.
Former school director Dr. However, Vijay Bhaskar told The Hindu that this afternoon, between 12:00 and 13:00, several people visited the school and had to distribute chocolates to the children there. Mr. Bhaskar said that he visited the school for various purposes and also informed that Mr. Nabin has been in touch with the school for a long time. “The school for the blind has a total of 68 students,” he added.
Earlier, reports said that melodious chocolates were also distributed among the students of the famous coaching institute in Patna.
“Happy birthday Nitin Nabin sir…aap log bhi jor se boliye (Happy birthday Nitin Nabin sir…you should say it out loud too),” said a saffron-robed man as he distributed chocolates to visually impaired children at a school. “Bacchon ke beech chocolate baant kar aaj party president Nitin Nabinji ka birthday dhum dham se manaya gaya (while distributing chocolates among children Nitin Nabin ji’s birthday was celebrated with great fanfare today),” he further told the media after distributing the chocolates. However, local BJP leaders were not aware of any such celebration.
The gesture by a group of BJP workers in Patna, who distributed Melody chocolates to visually impaired children on the occasion of party president Nitin Nabin’s birthday, has gained significance after Prime Minister Narendra Modi recently gifted a packet of chocolates to his Italian counterpart Giorgio Meloni during his visit there, garnering national attention.
