Almost 66 LAKH voters are unlikely to get into the proposal of an electoral role published on August 1, according to data on the Electoral Commission of India published on Friday (July 25, 2025), the last day to present the list in the ongoing special intense revision (Sir).
According to election roles 2025 Bihar had over 7.89 voters Crore.
Forms 7.23 Crore voters have been adopted and digitized and the names of all these voters will be included in the election role proposal, ECI said in its statement.
The body of the vote said that the digitization of the forms of the remaining voters will also be completed until 1 August, reporting an officer at the stand level (BLO).
Objections within 1 September
During the monthly exercise of Sir, which began on June 24, the local BLOS reported the names of approximately 22 laches of the deceased voters, 7 lacquers registered in more than one place and 35 lakhs that either permanently migrated or not traced. In addition, the list of approximately 1.2 lamp voters are not yet received.
All errors may be corrected in the proposal of an election role to be published 1 August, the statement said. From August 1 to September 1, any voter or political party can fill in the prescribed forms and submit EROS claims for any eligible voter who has been excluded or objected to removing any ineligible voter.
Lists of those voters who did not fulfill their forms or they are deceased, and those who moved permanently have been shared on July 20 with all the 12 main political parties Bihar, namely the Samajan side, Bharatiya Janata (Marxist), Rashtriya Janata (United), Janata (United), Janata (United). Indian Communist Party (Marxist – Leninist) (Liberation), Rashtriya Lok Janshakti Party, Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas), National People’s Party and the AAM AADMI Party.
Disputed
A total of 38 representatives of election officers, 243 election registration officials (EROS), 2,976 assistants of election registration officials, BLOS deployed 77,895 election cabins and volunteers participated with 12 political parties, their 38 chairmen and 1.60 lakh agents.
Sir Order 24. June said that the exercise would be done throughout the country, starting with Bihar. However, the opposition parties have identified Sir as an attempt to bring the National Citizens’ Register (NRC) through the Backdoor. The disputed exercise was questioned at the Supreme Court and the hearing is scheduled for 28 July.
