Sri Bhramaramba Mallikarjuna Swamy Temple in Srisailam held Ugadi Mahotsavams in a grand manner. The festivities were held at the Alankara Mandapam in the presence of District Collector Rajakumari Ganiya, Temple Executive Director M. Srinivasa Rao, Board members and others.
Dr. Butta Veerabhadra Daivagya read out the panchangam (almanac) for the year, detailing the challenging situations that governments are likely to face and the auspicious and inauspicious events that may befall the people. On the occasion, the priests were blessed on behalf of the state government.
In the evening, a Radhotsavam was held in the streets of the temple town for the processional idols of Sri Bhramaramba Mallikarjuna Swamy, while Goddess Bhramaramba was adorned as Rama Vani sevita Rajarajeswari Devi and blessed by the devotees.
Addressing the celebrations held in Kurnool, Industries and Commerce Minister TG Bharath said that the previous year had passed well without any major disturbances and hoped that the next year would also pass smoothly under the leadership of Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu. He said that while the ongoing war in West Asia has affected the country, the Union and state governments are taking alternative measures to minimize the impact.
Ugadi celebrations were held at Revenue Bhavan, Anantapur, attended by District Collector O. Anand and others. In Sri Sathya Sai district, BC Social Welfare Minister S. Savitha, District Collector Shyam Prasad, Superintendent of Police S. Satish Kumar and others attended.
