The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast partly clear skies with one or two showers or thunderstorms on Sunday. A thunderstorm warning is also issued. The minimum temperature is expected to be 22°C, the maximum temperature today may reach 30°C.
Bengaluru Weather: IMD forecast for the next 6 days
On May 25, a minimum temperature of 22°C and a maximum temperature of 31°C are expected. The forecast calls for mostly cloudy skies with light rain and no warning issued.
On May 26, the minimum temperature is likely to remain at 22°C, while the maximum may touch 31°C. A generally cloudy sky with light rain is expected, with no warning.
On May 27, temperatures are expected to range between 22°C and 31°C. The day is expected to witness generally cloudy skies accompanied by light rain and no warning has been issued.
On May 28, a minimum temperature of 22°C and a maximum of 31°C are expected. The forecast calls for generally cloudy skies with light rain, with no warning.
On May 29, temperatures are likely to range between 22°C and 31°C. Mostly cloudy skies with light rain are expected and no warning has been issued.
On May 30, a minimum temperature of 22°C and a maximum of 31°C are predicted. The weather is expected to remain mostly cloudy with light rain, no warning has been issued yet.
Kerala weather
As monsoon approaches Kerala, the IMD on Saturday issued an orange alert for four districts amid heavy rains in several parts of the state, according to PTI.
An alert has been issued for Thrissur, Kollam, Kottayam and Idukki for a period of three hours from 4:00 p.m. An orange warning indicates the possibility of very heavy rainfall ranging from 11 cm to 20 cm.
The IMD said thunderstorms accompanied by heavy rain and gusty winds between 40 and 60 kmph were likely at isolated places in these districts.
The weather agency has also forecast thunderstorms with light to moderate rain and wind speed up to 40 kmph for Thiruvananthapuram, Pathanamthitta, Alappuzha, Ernakulam, Palakkad, Malappuram, Kozhikode, Wayanad and Kannur.
The IMD had earlier predicted widespread light to moderate rainfall accompanied by thundershowers and gusty winds over several parts of Kerala till 27th.
The Meteorological Department has also predicted isolated periods of heavy to very heavy rainfall in some parts of the state between May 28 and June 3.
Meanwhile, according to the IMD’s daily weather report and forecast, heat waves are expected to hit all the states in the coming days.
“Heat wave to heat wave conditions prevailed in few pockets over East Uttar Pradesh and Vidarbha; Heat wave conditions in many pockets of Haryana, Chandigarh and Delhi and Himachal Pradesh; in some pockets of East Madhya Pradesh; in isolated pockets of Uttarakhand, Odisha, Punjab, West Uttar Pradesh and not Coredastal Andhradesh.
