
The Vellore Superintendent Police on Tuesday put a three -month -old female puppy in a detective dog team.
The Vellore Superintendent Police N. Mathivanan put Malinois in a detective dog on Tuesday, named it “Rudra” and formally introduced it to the team. Currently, breeding kennel from 1986 to Old Bangalore Road near Fort Houses in a group of three dogs. The eight -year -old Labrador, Agni, is the oldest of them. Together with Rita (2), Belgian Malinois, Agni takes care of the detection of explosives. Their teammate, Sara (3), a German Shepherd, specializes in finding tracks in crime scenes. Another member, Dora, an annual female Labrador, is currently undergoing training in the Madras City Police Dog Squad, the oldest group of dogs in the country. The new participant Rudra joins her in training, where she will be handed over by skills to detect mainly drugs and other narcotics before joining the team later in the year. In the kennel, every dog is fed every day with rice, beef, boiled eggs, milk and vegetables. Daily training of explosives, crime, narcotics and earthquakes. Each dog will take care of two operators including a sub-inspector, M. Gerard Wilson and Head Constable M. Sasikumar.
