Matthew Hayden feels that Sunrisers Hyderabad may have doubted his own aggressive approach during the IPL 2025 season. After starting to publish 286 runs in their first RR game, SRH fought this season and lost 6 of his 9 matches.
The first victory in Chepauk against CSK came at the right time for Pat Cummins and his party, as they can still get into the playoffs if they can win all their remaining matches. SRH recently had a mini-liner when they went to the Maldives And Hayden, when he talked to Star Sport, said it could be a break they needed.
The former Aussie opener claimed that everyone thought that SRH would continue to score in the IPL and felt that the methods were questioned in the Hyderabad camp itself.
Hayden feels that a trip to the Maldives could be a recaliberation that SRH needed before their five other games.
“There’s something to recover in the Maldives. Yeah, well, they had a little breaks and breaths, and maybe it could just reset, recalibrate, focus again because it was a party we thought about, God, these boys would be extraordinary with the bat.”
“He didn’t do it that? They weren’t on the brand. I feel like they’re actually starting to doubt how they go.”
“They began to think that 280 was not sustainable. And maybe the little recalibration was aimlessly carried in the Indian Ocean and returned them to the center,” Hayden said.
“SRH was the most attractive team last year ‘
Sunil Gavascar, who was also part of the interaction, said SRH was the most attractive team in the IPL last year due to their explosive launching. Gavascar, however, feels that SRH can turn things in the next few games, especially if the travkek starts to click.
“They were the most attractive team last year, because they all wanted to see how Travis Head and Abhishek beat Bowling. They did it several times, but they didn’t do it as consistently as last year, trying to get out of Knockouts.”
“But who knows, they will win all their matches in the next 3 games, get off at the beginning they got out of the head and Abhishek and could publish 200+ scores, and whenever the team sends 200 scores, it’s hard to chase,” Gavascar said.
SRH will face GT in Ahmedabad May 2.
