Pant, who flourished across formats under Dravid, said one piece of advice from the Indian legend stuck with him.
“I think the key is not to think too much about it and not dwell on it. I learned one really good line from Rahul (Dravid) bhai. He always told me one thing: ‘Rishabh, whatever happens, try to be the same person when you score a hundred and when you score a zero,'” Pant said.
“I think the hardest thing to do as an athlete is to stay who you are. Emotions sometimes overtake you, but that line always stays with me. So personally, I try. Whether I score a zero or a hundred, I want to be the same guy. Maybe when I drop out, it hurts more. I don’t enjoy scoring as much as feeling the goalie score.”
