According to data released by IBBI, between April and December 2025, 513 new bankruptcy petitions were accepted by the NCLT benches and 525 were closed for various reasons, including withdrawal of petitions and settlements between the parties. During this period, debt resolution plans were approved by tribunals in 182 cases. As of the end of December 2025, as many as 1,879 cases were pending before the tribunal at various stages.
