
Air India announced the provisional payment on Saturday £25 Lakh each of other relatives of passengers who lost their lives in the Ahmedabad accident, as well as the only survivor – British state -owned origin that is treated in the hospital. “As part of our continuing effort, Air India will provide interim payment £25 Lakh, or approximately 21,000 GBP, each of the deceased and survivors to help solve immediate financial needs. “Air India stands in solidarity with families of passengers who have tragically lost their lives in a recent accident. Our teams on Earth are doing everything they can to extend care and support in this incredibly difficult time,” he added.
Compensation from Air India comes in addition to the earlier notification of the TATA Group £1 Crore to the families of those who lost their lives on Thursday.
The accident of air India, which killed 241 passengers, and miraculously left one lonely survivor sitting in 11A – is considered to be the worst air disaster in the world for ten years.
