In a tragic incident, a dead engineer was found in her apartment in Assam on Tuesday afternoon.
The woman, identified as 30 -year -old Jyotisha Das, was an assistant to the engineer at the Public Work Department (PWD) of Assam.
Originally it came from Guwahati and was sent in Bongaigaon.
According to the police, she left a handwritten remark that required harassment of higher officials to approve fraudulent accounts for incomplete construction work.
She allegedly appointed two higher government officials of Assam in the note.
Police arrested both officials in case of suicide.
“We have arrested both people named in a suicide note. One of them is the powerful PWD engineer and the other sub-doning officer,” said Bongaigaon SSPS Mohan Lal Meen PTI.
After the tragedy, the Das family filed a company.
At the beginning of this month, they were both relocated from the district.
While the executive engineer was promoted and sent in the Nalbari district, SDO was moved to Camup.
“They were sent into judicial custody. We have permission to have their report cards and our investigation,” Meena said.
He also said that the police verify the accusation of a suicide note found next to the woman’s body.
“She said in the note that both arrested officials were putting immersion on the construction of a mini stadium in Bongaigaon. She also claimed that she was forced to pass the inflated accounts submitted by the supplier,” another PTI official said.
In his note, Das wrote that she was under strict mental stress due to the repeated pressure of his superiors. She also claimed that no one was leading her to the office, and expressed feelings of exhaustion and helplessness, NDTV reported.
Meanwhile, the main minister of the complaint Assam Biswa Sarma ordered the probe into this matter.
