Asian Games Schedule Oct 1: IND vs PAK doubleheader takes center stage

India faces a busy day at the Asian Games, with a high-profile India-Pakistan doubleheader in volleyball and hockey taking center stage. The men’s volleyball team will face Pakistan in the quarter-finals, while the hockey team will take on their arch-rivals in the semi-finals.

The day also features India’s men’s cricket semi-final against Sri Lanka for a place in the final. In squash, both the women’s and men’s teams are assured of medals and will look to further progress.

Several Indian athletes will also be aiming for medals in wrestling, shooting, archery, rugby, cycling and sport climbing. Anish competes in the 25m rapid fire pistol final while Ganesh Mani Ratnam Thirumuru begins his men’s composite individual campaign.

Wrestlers Sumit, Aman, Nitesh and Mansi are among those scheduled for key matches, while Deepu Mallesh returns to action in the men’s speed climbing.
