Asian Games 2026 Live Updates: India’s Asian Games campaign continues with another busy day in Aichi-Nagoya on Tuesday, September 29. The Indian contingent will compete in athletics, shooting, boxing, tennis, cycling, squash and several other sports.

Athletics brings a busy medal session

Athletics will be one of the main attractions, with several finals scheduled throughout the afternoon.

Dev Kumar Meena and Kuldeep Kumar will compete in the men’s pole vault final at 2.50 pm.
Pooja and Supriya Basavaraju will compete in the women’s high jump final at 3:35 p.m.
Anushka Yadav and Tanya Chaudhary will square off in the women’s hammer throw final at 4.05 pm.
Gowthami Jayaraman and Pooja will contest the women’s 800m final while Mohammed Afsal will compete in the men’s final.
Gulveer Singh and Avinash Sable will square off in the men’s 5000m final at 4.45pm.
Three boxing semi-finals offer medal chances

India will have three boxers in the semi-finals, with medals at stake in all three events.

Parveen will face China’s Li Shu at 10.15am in the women’s 65kg semi-final.
