
Minister of Finance KN Balagopal instruction prepared a detailed main plan for the development of the Kottarakara Sree Mahaganapathi temple, which attracts many devotees every day. The plan will focus on the long -term needs of the temple. The state government assigned a budget of 5 ₹ Crore to build a pilgrimage house and a center for visitors. In addition, the plan includes Travancore Devaswom Board, a Crore worth 25 GBP.
Development work will take place on 93 cents of land owned by the Council, which is located on the Kollam-Shankottai road in Chanthamuk, 400 meters in front of the temple. In the first phase, immediate steps will be taken to organize parking equipment. The four -storey building will be built with parking on the ground floor and wedding hall, dining room, rooms for pilgrims, facilitation center, restaurant and toilets on the upper floors. The old assistant and engineering assistant will also be moved. In the neighborhood of the website, Pilgrim House and Amenity Center, for which 5 GBP Crore was assigned in the budget. The Minister also ordered to explore the possibility of creating an easy passing into the temple.
Renovation and construction work will be carried out in the temple and its surrounding areas to provide devotees with maximum equipment. The temple pond will be reconstructed and beautified by the arrangement of sitting. While the reconstruction of the sanctuary is completed, there is a plan for the reconstruction of Valiyambballam, Thitambballam, Pradakshiny Vazhi (peripheral path) and installation of sub-resistance, as well as auditorium construction, stage, computer counters and oil mills. The work will be completed with the consent of the court, said the Chairman of the Board of PSANTH.
