
New Delhi: India G20 Sherpa Amitabh Kant, who was helpful in creating a consensus between the world leaders during the G20 Indian Presidency in the middle of sharp geopolitical cracks, withdrew from the role and signaled to the NGOs.
In LinkedIn Kant, Kant said he received new opportunities outside the public sector after 45 years in government service. “Now I’m looking forward to the Indian transformation path to Vikit Bharat by supporting a free enterprise, starting businesses, Think tanks and academic institutions,” he wrote.

Kant, one of the most visible and articulated bureaucrats in India, played a central role in shaping national initiatives from the development of infrastructure to “make in india” and more than 100 return districts through the aspirational districts program.
Previously, as the CEO of the Federal political Think tank Niti Aayog and later as the G20 Sherpa, Kant articulated the vision of Prime Minister Narendry Modi on the development, innovation and sustainability. He was deeply involved in low -carbon -carbon policies, digital infrastructure and industrial reform.
Kant expressed the gratitude of Modim for entrusting him with key development roles that “formed Indian growth trajectory”.
The G20 Indian Presidency, he said, was the main milestone in his career-“focused on people and inclusive” with meetings in all countries and trade unions. He noted, “strengthened cooperative federalism, celebrated local culture and habitual infrastructure at a nationwide level.”
He also emphasized the role of India in the introduction of the African Union in the G20 as a permanent member and described it as “fulfilling our commitment to global capital and the voice of the global south”.
In Niti Aayog, Kant promoted the creation of Indian digital public infrastructure and supervised political reforms across sectors – from production and innovation to sustainability. These were motivational programs (PLI) associated with production, Atal innovation missions, green hydrogen pressure and support for technology of advanced chemical cells.
Kant said that the Aayog’s aspirational districts have transformed the lives of citizens in 115 of the most developed districts of India.

Previously, as Secretary of the Ministry for Industrial Policy and Promotion (now DPIIT), Kant led reforms that dramatically improved Indian easy business and helped to upgrade the country by 79 ranks in the global ranking of the World Bank.
He was also helpful in shaping the Indian tourism brand and helped conceptualize the Keral campaign “God’s own country” and the Incredible India initiative in the center.
