RISHABH PANT AND ZABEER KHAN (BCCI/IPL Photo) New Delhi: Mentor Lucknow Super Giants Zheer Khan supported Rishabha Pant’s leadership, although the star dough is still fighting for running in IPL 2025 and says it is only a matter of time to re -discover its bat touch.
Pant, the most expensive purchase in the history of IPL at Rs 27 Crore, managed only 110 runs out of 10 matches, including six single -digit scores. He fell on four on Sunday, while trying to sweep against the spinner part-time, raised at a 54-running LSG loss for the Indians in Mumbai.

Zheer, however, rejected the suggestions that the hefty price tag added pressure on the pants. “I wouldn’t understand it with anything like that. He’s a leader and was fantastic as a leader, that’s something I can guarantee,” Zahreer said after defeat at the Wankhade stadium.
Who is the IPL player?
“As a leader, he ticks all the boxes. As a dough, the middle order depends on the dough and I’m very sure that the impact we want from him will come. It’s just something he clicks,” he added.

What do you think is the main reason for the poor performance of Rishabha Pant?
Zahreer stressed that Pant’s positive and optimistic attitude would help him overcome the abyss. “What happened in the last game is gone. He’s very optimistic and positive. It’s about continuing this thinking,” he said.
Zahreer confirmed Pant’s central role and said, “We identified Rishabh as a leader who is going to this team forward. There is no doubt.”

With five wins and five losses, LSG is sixth on the table and faces a major weekly break before they take the Pandjab King in Dharamsale. “It is a regrouping, rejuvenating and finding this spark,” Zahreer said, urging his team to avoid the purely extent of the play -off race.
