Allu Arjun will virtually appear before the Nampally court in the Sandhya theater case
Actor Allu Arjun on Wednesday virtually appeared before the Nampally Criminal Court in connection with the Sandhya Theater stampede case. The proceedings began around 11 a.m., after which the court adjourned the case to August 17.
The case stems from a stampede on December 4, 2024 at Sandhya Theater during the premiere of the actor’s film Pushpa 2: The Rule. A woman was killed and her young son seriously injured in the incident after a large crowd gathered to catch a glimpse of the actor.
The Chikkadpally police summoned Allu Arjun, the management of Sandhya Theater and members of his security team, on the basis of alleged misconduct that led to the stampede. The actor was arrested on 13 December 2024 and was granted interim bail by the High Court on the same day before being released from jail the following morning.
The proceedings were conducted in virtual mode on Wednesday and the Nampally court adjourned further hearing in the case till August 17.
