Special prayers, Abhishekam and other rituals will be held at Kolan Bharati Kshetram, a temple adopted by Srisailam Temple, on the occasion of Moola Nakshatra on Friday (October 16, 2026).
As part of these celebrations held for the welfare of the world, a special deity will be offered to Goddess Saraswati and an ‘Aksharabhyasam’ (ceremony for children starting formal education) mass will be held.
On that day, the main temple doors will be opened at 4 am and the rituals will begin with the ‘Teertha Binda Seva’, a traditional ritual involving the ceremonial bringing of water from the ‘Kolan’ (temple pond) into the temple. This will be followed by a special ‘Abhishekam’, consecration prayers, Pushparchana (flower worship), prasadam offering and ‘Maha Mangala Harati’.
