AIADMK does not agree to field joint candidate, reason for not extending support: PMK

PMK leader Sowmiya Anbumani on Friday said the party’s decision not to extend its support to anyone in the upcoming assembly elections was due to the AIADMK’s refusal to agree to field a joint candidate.

Ms. Sowmiya also hoped that Gem Granites Veeramani and all those involved in the child sexual abuse case could be summoned.

“I cannot understand how Gem Granites Veeramani child abuse went on for so long. All credit to the judge who ordered further investigation. Police investigation also picked up. All involved should be brought to book. This has been going on for years and we should not let any perpetrator go,” she said.
