As a result of the strong opposition of teachers, the Ministry of School Education and Literacy (DSEL) reduced signs assigned to lessons based on lessons (LBA) to 15 for students of classes 1 to 5 and 20 for students of classes 6 to 10.
It previously announced that LBA would have 25 stamps for all students.
The commissioner for public teaching has recently issued an order that LBA for class 1 to 5 should be assessed a total of 15 stamps, including a written test for 10 stamps and an oral test for five stamps. Students of classes 6 and 7 should be assessed at 20 stamps, including objective and descriptive questions. And students of classes 8 to 10 should be asked questions for 20 stamps, including more choice and descriptive questions.
The district implementing the Maru Sinchana program should perform a total of 20 stamps, with regard to LBA for 15 stamps and program issues of Maru Sinchana for five stamps, with the exception of Hindi language from classes 6 to 10. It was stated that one LBA should be carried out for every three lessons in social science from classes 6 to 10.
The department implemented LBA from the current academic year. Accordingly, the government, supported and private schools after state curriculum, which are obliged to carry out LBA without failure and update signs of acquired students and plans of online lessons on the system of monitoring student successes. However, teachers across the state opposed LBA and claimed that it was putting unnecessary pressure.
Hindus reported the same on July 30, 2025. Then the ministry has now reduced the signs of LBA.
