
Bengaluru: The 32 -year -old woman was stabbed by her husband in front of her teenage daughter in the bus booth, the police said on Tuesday.
The couple married only three months ago, and this is the second marriage for both, the policeman said, quoting a preliminary investigation.
The incident occurred in a full public view of Sunkadakatte Bus stand here on Monday morning, they said.
They tried to stop Lohitashwa (35), but he called the knife on them and fled from the place after he allegedly stabbed the Rekh several times in her chest and stomach, the police said.
She succumbed to the injury and her daughter witnessed a crime, they added.
The leading police officer quoted a preliminary investigation and said that the couple had married three months ago. It was a second marriage for both. While Rekha worked at the call center, Lohitashwa worked as a taxi driver. They met through mutual friends and after a year and a half of the courtship they married.
It is assumed that marital disagreement is the motive of the offense, he said.
The couple stayed in a rented house near Sunkadakatte and her older daughter lived with them from her first marriage while her younger daughter stayed with Rekh’s parents.
The couple often argued since their marriage, and also on the day of the incident had a heated argument, after which Rekha, along with her thirteen -year -old daughter, went to the bus booth. He rushed to the place and began to argue. When her daughter hit, he pulled out the knife and stabbed her to death, the officer said.
The Kamakshiphalya Police Station was registered with the murder case, the police said, adding that an effort was made to pick up the suspect who was freedom.
