In a dramatic rescue, a traffic commissioner deployed at Suraram junction saved the life of a two-wheeler rider on Wednesday.
Katteboina Shiva Kumar, who has been serving with Jeedimetla traffic police in Cyberabad police station for the last three months, acted decisively when the driver lost control and slid under the RTC bus traveling from Balanagar towards Medak.
As traffic was moving at the time, Kumar lunged forward and pulled the rider to safety within seconds, averting a potentially fatal accident. The rider is said to be safe.
The incident was reported at 9.35 am when the rider was traveling from Balanagar towards Gandimaisamma.
The traffic police officials appreciated Kumar’s courage and vigilance and emphasized the role of traffic commissioners in ensuring road safety.
