Minister of Health Veen George said that strict measures will be taken against those who resort to non -scientific and incorrect methods during emergency medical situations such as childbirth.
On Saturday (April 12, 2025), there was an oxygen plant and a lactation unit at the Government Hospital in Kottapapapapapapapaparamba in Kozhikod.
“The level of infants mortality at national level is 27 per 1,000 live births.
Mrs. George said that any regressive steps that undermine the success of the state in the health sector would be dealt with seriously and considered crimes. The Minister, referring to the recent incident, when his mother died at home in Malappuram during birth, said the woman had been denied medical treatment, although she suffered for hours by bleeding. This would be considered a favable murder, she added.
