The Supreme Court ruled that the Center did not discriminate Andhra Pradesh or Telangana by carrying out exercises in the Union of Jammu and Kashmir, without holding it in the Teluga States.
The bench headed by Judge Surya Kant referred to Article 170 (3) of the Constitution, which, after each census, orders “the modification of seats in the legislative assembly of the state and the division of the state into territorial constituents”.
Section 26 of the Andr Pradesh Reorganization Act of 2014 was subjected to Article 170 (3) of the Constitution, held by a bench.
Kant’s justice said that the definition in the states of Andra Pradesh and Telangana must only be carried out after the census plans in 2026.
The Supreme Court dismissed the action filed by K. Purushottam Reddym, who was looking for instructions to the center to run Section 26 of the Act on the reorganization of Andhra Pradesh, which deals with the definition of constituents in both countries.
