Vizag Collector is gearing up for Naidu’s visit

District Collector M. Abhishikth Kishore on Wednesday directed officials to make comprehensive arrangements for Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu’s visit to Visakhapatnam on June 5 and June 8.

In a review meeting held at the Collectorate with City Police Commissioner Shankhabrata Bagchi, the Collector said, “The Chief Minister along with the Union Ministers will attend the National Seafood Export Conference on June 5 and later attend the review meeting on the Visakhapatnam Economic Zone (VER).

According to the schedule released by the district administration, the Chief Minister will arrive at the Coastal Battery heliport on Beach Road around 10:50 am and proceed to the conference venue. He is also expected to meet with members of the public and officials during his visit.

On June 8, Mr. Naidu is scheduled to visit the Center of Excellence for Energy Transformation (CoEET) near Rushikonda and attend various programs there. He will later go to Tarluvada to attend the foundation stone laying ceremony for APIs Technologies semiconductor unit.

Mr. Kishore instructed the officials to ensure proper coordination between departments, set up assistance services at the airport and railway stations, put in place adequate security measures and facilitate smooth issuance of delegates and VIP passes.

Later in the day, Mr. Kishore and Mr. Bagchi inspected the Coastal Battery and Rushikonda helipads, the Novotel conference venue, the CoEET facility and the APIs Technologies project site as part of the Advanced Security Liaison exercise.

District office chairman Dola Sree Bala Veeranjaneya Swamy is also expected to attend the Chief Minister’s meeting on June 5.
