US President Donald Trump does not recommend to appoint a special prosecutor to explore the case of Jeffrey Epstein, and the printing secretary of the White House Karoline Leavitt launched on Thursday (July 17), despite the growing pressure of some of his own supporters and Republicans in Congress.
“In the case of Epstein, the President would not recommend (a) a special prosecutor. So he feels,” Leitt told reporters from the Bílé House briefing room.
Trump requires to be able to act on the basis of trusted evidence
While she closed the idea of a special advisor, Leavitt said Trump had ordered federal agencies to chase any valid new leadership.
“The President called for the General Prosecutor Pam Bondi, the Ministry of Justice and the FBI to submit any further credible evidence of Jeffrey Epstein’s crimes,” she said.
Epstein documents can be sealed
Leitt explained that the decision to publish more information from the Epstein files is based on the Ministry of Justice and the Courts.
“If it includes information about a large jury, the judge would have to approve it. This is out of the President’s control,” she explained, pushing back on suggestions that the White House was holding key data.
About the “hoax” claim
Reporters pushed Leitta about Trump’s recent characterization of Epstein’s controversy as “fraud”.
“The President spoke of the fact that the Democrats had now taken this, as if they ever wanted transparency about it, which is Asinin’s proposal,” Leavitt said. “When Biden was in office, they didn’t do a thing.”
Trump Allies demand special advice in Epstein’s probe
Trump allies, including the far right activist Laura Loomer and Rep. Lauren BoebertR-Florida calls on the appointment of a special advisor to explore the persistent questions concerning Jeffrey Epstein-Bohemian convicted sex offenses who died in prison in 2019 and waited for federal fees for trading in sex.
Loomer warned on social media that the Epstein discussion could “consume her entire presidency” if it were not solved.
“We deserve the truth about Epstein files,” Boebert wrote in the post and added, “I’m ready for special advice to handle it.”
Special advice is usually appointed when the Ministry of Justice faces a potential conflict of interest in the investigation.
Trump plunges on critics
In the midst of the growing dissatisfaction between right -wing supporters over the approach of Trump administration, he released the fire of social media on July 16 and rejected his criticism.
He called those who questioned his treatment of the case of “weak” who were “cheated”, signaling frustrations over the internal dissent.
DO, FBI: No List Clients, No Foul Game
At the beginning of this month, the Ministry of Justice and the FBI concluded that the death of Epstein’s prison in 2019 was not a murder and that there was no evidence of a hidden list of clients to support the division between Trump’s base.
However, conspiracy theories and transparency requirements still circulate online and among some GOP legislators.
