
On Friday, the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) took Suo Motu knowing the alleged beating of a woman after tied her to a tree, money in Kuppam in the Chittoor district after reportedly could not repay the loan her husband.
The incident was reported in the media of June 17th. NHRC later issued a notice to the main secretary and general director Andr Pradesh, who was looking for an incident report.
If that was true, the incident was a violation of human rights, noted NHRC and ordered the main secretary and DGP to present a detailed report in two weeks.
It was argued that the victim’s husband took advantage of the 80,000 GBP loan from the cash seeker and fled the village without paying it off. A woman, a working worker with a daily wage, took care of her three children and repaid a loan in installments. But the monetary allegedly tied her to the tree and beat her in public on June 16.
