The floods in the Cauver River caused by heavy rains cut off the Holakere road in the village of Karadigod in Amthi Hobli and disrupted access to the village.
Officials of the Income Department visited the website and made an evaluation on the ground. They released counseling who urged the inhabitants not to go into the areas susceptible to the flood.
People living in the affected areas were asked to move to the surrounding auxiliary centers.
The authorities organized an alternative way to manage the situation to ensure public security. In Kodag, the team was deployed from the national strength to the reaction to disasters (NDRF) to help the district administration in auxiliary and rescue operations.
The team recently visited the Harangi dam, the area susceptible to the Kushalnagar flood and other places to assess the flood risks and review preparatory measures.
NADF employees evaluated the conditions on the country and took measures for public security. From the devastating floods and landslides that hit Kodag in 2018 and 2019, the NDRF is deployed in the district of each monsoon as security measures.
