An unusual moment stunned players and fans alike during the GT chase at Mullanpur.Sudharsan batted brilliantly on 58 off 32 balls and has already put Gujarat in a strong position alongside skipper Shubman Gill. But in the 13th over, as he tried to play an attacking shot against Brijesh Sharma, his bat slipped from his hand and crashed straight into the stumps. The dismissal shocked everyone inside the stadium, especially since a similar incident happened to Sudharsan in Gujarat’s previous match against Royal Challengers Bengaluru.Commentator Ravi Shastri could not believe what he was witnessing on air. “Where’s the fevicol? Where’s the glue?” asked Ravi Shastri on air.Check out the statement:The delivery itself was a low full toss outside the off stump. Sudharsan opened the face of the bat and sliced the ball past square for what looked like another boundary. However, while completing the shot, the bat slipped from his grip and fell over the stumps.Interestingly, Sai Sudharsan has been dismissed three times in men’s T20 cricket, all in the IPL. This puts him level with Andre Russell and Shoaib Malik for the most wickets taken in men’s T20s.What makes the record even more unusual is that no other batsman in IPL history has been dismissed more than once.Despite the crazy dismissal, Sudharsan’s aggressive hitting kept Gujarat Titans firmly in the chase during the knockout clash against Rajasthan Royals.
