Kumaraswamy signals delay in allotment of land for testing facility in Mandya

Union Minister for Heavy Industries and Steel HD Kumaraswamy has written to Chief Minister DK Shivakumar expressing his concern over the delay in allotment of land for two proposed test facilities in Mandya district – Test Center for Construction and Infrastructure Equipment (CIE) and Test Center for Electric Vehicles (EV).

Designed by the Automotive Research Association of India (ARAI), the two facilities are expected to strengthen India’s automotive and electric mobility ecosystem, boost technological development and create industrial and employment opportunities in the region.

In his letter, Mr. Kumaraswamy detailed a series of meetings, official communications between the state and central governments, minutes of meetings and other documents related to the proposed projects.

Mr. Kumaraswamy’s representatives delivered the letter to Chief Minister’s Additional Principal Secretary Tushar Giri Nath at Vidhana Soudha.
