
Simone Inzaghi resigned as an Inter Milan manager, three days after crushing 5-0 defeats of the club at Paris Saint-Germain in the final of the Champions League. In a statement published on the Club website on Tuesday, Insaghi confirmed his departure and thanked supporters for their support for the last four years.
“It was time for me to say goodbye to this club after a four -year journey during which I gave everything,” he wrote. “I want to give the last word to millions of fans Nerzzurri who encouraged me, cried and suffered at difficult moments and laughed and celebrated in six triumphs we had experienced together. I will never forget you.”
Inzaghi leaves after winning six trophies with the club – one Serie and, two victories of Coppa Italia and three titles Supercoppa Italiana. However, the 2024-25 season ended in disappointment. The Inter finished second in the league, one point for the Napoli champion, and was discarded in the semifinals of Coppa Italia semifinals by the city rivals AC Milan. In January they also lost to Milan in the final of the Supercoppa Italiana.
