IIT Palakkad is organizing a practical electrical workshop for the students of the school

The Department of Electrical Engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Palakkad organized a day-long workshop to offer hands-on experience in electrical engineering to school students.

44 students and nine teachers from five schools participated in the workshop entitled “Make it happen – from concepts to circuits”.

It aimed to connect concepts taught in physics classrooms with practical learning through simple circuits, demonstrations and hands-on activities.

Students from Government Victoria Girls Higher Secondary School, Chittur; Government Technical High School, Marutha Road; Ashramam High School, Malampuzha; Kannadi Higher Secondary School, Kannadi; and Government Boys High Secondary School, Chittur, participated in the programme.

The practical exercises were led by Harikrishnan S., a PhD student in the Department of Electrical Engineering. Under guidance, students learned basic electrical concepts and built simple circuits.

Associate Professor Arun Rahul S organized the program while Technical Superintendent Sanil Sharahudeen coordinated it.

At the valedictory function, Dean of Student Affairs Swaroop Sahoo distributed certificates to the students and thanked the teachers who accompanied them.
