PV Anvar, whose resignation as an independent MLA from the Democratic Front (LDF) representing Nilambur launched a selection of 19 June, criticized the selection of Aryadan Shhouth and said that he lacked popular support and did not win the election.
However, Mr. Anvar, who is currently the State Congress All India Trinamool Congress (AITC), said his party would observe the response of people to Mr. Shoukatta candidacy and decide after two days. “I will not support the campaign for Mr. Shoukath. After two days we will finally speak on the basis of people’s reaction,” he said.
Mr. Anvar claimed that Mr Shoukatath tried to attack Nilambur Byelection as the Indian Communist Party (Marxista) (CPI (M))-supported by an independent candidate. “Mr. Shoukath has a discussion with the CPI (M) leader in Wayanad,” he said.
“Left -wing in Congress”
Mr. Anvar repeated that Mr. Shoukath was unable to pull the victory for the United Democratic Front (UDF) in Nilambur, and described it as the left in Congress. “Check out his Facebook posts. In the last two years he has never written anything against CPI (M). They are in good condition now,” said Mr. Anvar.
Mr. Anvar said Congress lost the advantage in Nilambur by overlooking Mr. Joy, a Christian candidate from the settlers in a hilly area. He warned that Ignoring Mr. Joy would affect the Christian voter sentiment and change the election dynamics in Nilambur.
“I have no personal resentment against Mr. Shoukath. Mr. Joy is not my sister’s son.
He said Mr. Joy was overlooked because he had no godfather in the congress. He claimed that the side Mr. Joy would effectively marginalize Christian settlers in Nilambur.
‘Cpi (m) -bjp nexus’
He accused CPI (m) of hindic municipal elements and businesses. “The BJP, who has attacked for a long time in Nilambur, now says he will not mention the candidate in Nilambur in Nilambur. I warned in Nilambur.
Mr. Anvar said he was holding, and would continue to act, interviews with the leaders of the Indian EU Muslim League such as PK Kunhalikutty and Syed Sadikali Shihab Thang. “They are leaders with solid political perspectives,” he said.
He also said that CPI (m) is waiting for the UDF candidate to play municipal and caste cards. “Ideals such as socialism and secularism are Passe for this party,” he said, accused the leadership of CPI (M) of succumbing to the municipal forces.
